For both beginning and advanced glass fusing students, in this class you will learn a variety of fused glass techniques such as metal inclusions, making glass stringers, and slumping methods. Glass cutting and assembly techniques along with safe practices and tool use are taught in a studio environment. The studio has tools for students to use during class. All kiln work is included in the cost of the class. Students must purchase or supply their own glass; note that all glass used in our studio must have a coefficient of expansion of 90 (COE 90). The studio has a wide variety of COE 90 glass colors available for students to purchase with an average cost of $13 per square foot. A starter set of 2.25 square feet of glass costs $22.
